IMPROVE KNOWLEDGE OF PERSONAL FINANCE AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SMART PERSONALITY AND FINANCE IN THE SOUTHWEST PROVINCES

Ho Chi Minh City Banking University has cooperated with the Vietnam Women's Union to successfully organize the training program "Improve your knowledge of personal finance, personal financial management and smart finance”.

Financial education is considered one of the three main pillars for building and implementing the national financial inclusion strategy. Implementing policies on financial inclusion, credit for agricultural and rural development, credit from the Bank for Social Policies, and other credit sources to facilitate women's access to appropriate credit sources, contributing to enhancing women's economic empowerment and achieving gender equality.

At the end of October, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (HUB) cooperated with the Vietnam Women's Union to successfully organize the training program "Improve your knowledge of personal finance, personal financial management and smart finance” in Soc Trang and Kien Giang provinces. This is a training activity within the coordination program between the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Union in the period 2023-2027 in promoting the implementation of gender equality goals for women in the banking and finance sector for the advancement of women in the banking sector and enhancing the capacity of the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels in implementing microfinance activities.

Realizing the importance of training activities, with HUB's mission of training and providing society and the banking industry with high-quality human resources, HUB has selected lecturers from the Faculty of Finance to directly participate in the training. The lecturers all have doctoral degrees or higher, have deep professional capacity, and have a lot of practical experience. They will share with the Head of the Group, members of the Management Board of the Savings and Loan Group of the Social Policy Bank about knowledge of personal finance, smart financial management skills, improving understanding of financial products, services and related practical issues.

The program took place in the southwestern provinces including Soc Trang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau from October to the end of November 2023. The trainees attending the training were group leaders and members of the Management Board of the Savings and Loan Groups of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. The learning atmosphere in the classes in Soc Trang and Kien Giang provinces was quite exciting and the positive response from the trainees contributed to improving the effectiveness of knowledge access and the success of the training program.

The training program for the remaining provinces will continue to be implemented until the end of November 2023. HUB is honored to carry out its mission in the cooperation program between the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Union in the period of 2023-2027 as a training unit, developing comprehensive and creative human resources with a spirit of service, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the two Parties as well as the National Financial Inclusion Strategy to 2025 and orientation to 2030 of the Prime Minister.
