The Hub successfully organized the training course "Implementing the construction of an internal control system according to Circular 62/2025/TT-NHNN"

On June 18th and 19th, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking (HUB) successfully organized the training course "Implementing the Internal Control System according to Circular 62/2025/TT-NHNN", concluding two days of in-depth learning, exchange, and sharing of experiences among experts and trainees from many localities across the country.

Overview of the training class

The course attracted the participation of leaders, managers, internal control officers, internal auditors, risk management officers, and professional positions within the People's Credit Fund system, Cooperative Banks, and microfinance institutions. The presence of trainees from various units created a multi-faceted forum for professional exchange, contributing to connecting and sharing practical experiences in the fields of governance, internal control, and risk management.

Organized in the context of Circular 62/2025/TT-NHNN officially coming into effect on January 1, 2027, the training program aims to support credit institutions in proactively preparing resources, improving their governance systems, and building implementation roadmaps in line with the new requirements of the regulatory authority. Over two working days, participants gained access to a comprehensive knowledge system, ranging from assessing the gap between the current governance practices at their institutions and the requirements of Circular 62, to building a Three-Line-of-Defense model, establishing a risk management framework, identifying and assessing key risks, designing internal control systems, building monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and completing compliance documentation.

The course is taught directly by Lecturer Tran Thi Hai Van (FCCA, CIA), an international expert in auditing and internal control. With many years of experience consulting and training for domestic and international financial institutions and banks, the lecturer provides practical perspectives, updates on modern management trends, and shares many typical case studies in the implementation of internal control systems. The specialized topics not only help students understand the requirements of Circular 62/2025/TT-NHNN but also provide tools and methods that can be applied immediately within their organizations.

One of the program's highlights is its learner-centered training method, combining theory and practice. Besides specialized lectures, participants actively engaged in group discussions, case studies, and direct exchanges with instructors. Many issues arising during the operation of people's credit funds and microfinance institutions were discussed, giving participants the opportunity to learn from experts and colleagues in the industry about various problem-solving approaches.

Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat emphasized that the internal control system is not only a requirement to comply with regulations of the management agency but also an important foundation to help credit institutions improve their governance capacity, strengthen risk prevention capabilities, and achieve sustainable development in the context of an increasingly volatile operating environment. He also expressed his hope that the knowledge, experience, and tools shared in the program will support the units in effectively implementing the requirements of Circular 62/2025/TT-NHNN in the future.
