Legal risks in banking operations are understood as the situation where credit institutions, bank officers and employees do not understand legal regulations correctly or do not have the necessary skills to read, understand, apply and interpret the law in accordance with each banking transaction situation. Therefore, raising awareness and skills in applying legal regulations to banking operations is very necessary and extremely important for credit institutions today.

As part of the cooperation program between the two units, on September 17 & 18, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (HUB) and Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Binh Duong Branch (Agribank - Binh Duong) successfully organized a training course. “Law in banking business” for nearly 140 students who are officers and employees in the entire Agribank - Binh Duong system.

The objective of the course is to update basic legal knowledge related to banking business activities; analyze situations that arise in practice, thereby helping bank officers and employees to be more sensitive in identifying risks in the process of operation, especially credit risks. At the same time, through analyzing real situations that occur in banking business activities, some errors that banks often make in providing banking services are also clarified, this is the basis for bank leaders to refer to in considering amending and supplementing internal regulations to help banking activities be unified, smooth, effective and in accordance with the law.

In the past time, with the trust of the leaders of Agribank - Binh Duong, along with the success of the training course "Law in banking business activities", HUB has successfully coordinated to organize courses on Sales communication skills, Corporate Financial Analysis, etc., contributing to building a comprehensive, high-quality human resource team, improving the operational efficiency and competitiveness of Agribank - Binh Duong.
